Welcome to our Online Safety for Women & Girls. In celebration of International ICT Day 2024, Digital Skills for Africa in partnership with Girl Up (UN Foundation) has organised a workshop on “Online Safety for Women”. This workshop is a collaborative initiative, and it is fully sponsored by the Ntha Foundation.

The workshop aims to empower women with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the online world safely and confidently. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, participants will learn about online threats, privacy protection, and effective strategies for staying safe online.

1. Navigating the Digital World Safely

Facilitator: Abigail Zingani

With a wealth of experience in digital skills education, Abigail specializes in guiding individuals on navigating the digital world safely. Through her expertise, she equips participants with essential knowledge and practical strategies to protect themselves online, ensuring a safer and more secure digital experience.

2. Digital Literacy and Cyber Harassment/Bullying

Facilitator: Yankho Kamtukulo

Yankho’s focus extends beyond basic digital skills, delving into the intricacies of online interactions and the challenges of cyberbullying. Through her insightful guidance, participants gain a deeper understanding of digital literacy and learn effective measures to combat cyber harassment, fostering a more positive online environment.
