GOOD SHEPHERD INTERNATIONAL LEADS THE WAY IN DIGITAL EDUCATION: DSA X GSIS Collaboration

On February 12, 2025, Good Shepherd International School (GSIS) reaffirmed its commitment to preparing students for the future by exploring a strategic collaboration with Digital Skills for Africa (DSA). As a school that is always ahead of the digital curve, GSIS continues to set the standard for equipping students with the skills they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

A Visionary Approach to Digital Education

During our visit, Principal Janefrances Alaoma engaged in a productive discussion with Kwathu Kollective representatives Justin Mtunga and Abigail Zingani on how DSA can complement GSIS’s forward-thinking curriculum. The conversation centered on integrating digital education to provide students with practical skills in technology, business, and innovation—ensuring they are well-prepared for modern career opportunities.

GSIS recognizes the growing demand for digital literacy and technical skills in today’s workforce and is actively working to create opportunities for its students through innovative partnerships. The interest in DSA’s digital training programs highlights the school’s commitment to fostering a globally competitive learning environment.

How GSIS Students Will Benefit from DSA

As part of this collaboration, GSIS students stand to gain access to:

  • Digital Literacy & Technical Skills Training – Providing fundamental and advanced competencies to navigate the digital world.
  • Mentorship & Career Development – Connecting students with industry professionals in technology, business, and entrepreneurship.
  • Hybrid Learning Opportunities – Blending in-person and online training to ensure flexible, high-quality learning experiences.

Next Steps

As GSIS continues its mission to equip students with future-ready skills, the next step is to formalize this partnership.

Conclusion

Good Shepherd International School is taking a bold step towards revolutionizing education by embracing digital skills as a core component of its student development strategy. This collaboration with DSA represents a forward-thinking approach to learning—one that ensures GSIS students remain competitive in a technology-driven world. We look forward to working together to make digital education more accessible and impactful for GSIS learners.
