DIGITAL LITERACY CLUB: Digital Skills Commencement

The Digital Literacy Club held its second session on the 5th of September, 2024, at Bambino International Schools. This session was a significant step forward as we introduced the Digital Skills for Africa (DSA) platform to our eager students.

Highlights of the Day

  1. Introduction to the Club: Abigail ZIngani began the session by introducing the club, outlining its objectives, the structure of the program, and what the students can expect to learn. This provided a clear roadmap for the students, helping them understand the journey ahead.
  2. Importance and Success Stories: Concern Matita shared the significance of digital literacy in today’s world and highlighted some of our recent success stories. These stories served as a motivational boost, reinforcing the value of the club and the potential impact on the students’ futures.
  3. Platform Presentation: Samuel Loga delivered an engaging presentation on navigating and using the Digital Skills for Africa (DSA) platform. He guided the students through the sign-up process and provided an overview of the courses and resources available, ensuring everyone was well-equipped to start their digital learning journey.

Student Feedback

The students expressed their excitement about being part of the Digital Literacy Club. They are particularly enthusiastic about learning coding, which emerged as the skill they are most eager to develop through the program.

Next Steps

Moving forward, we will continue to engage the students and focus on delivering content that aligns with their interests, particularly in coding. We are committed to providing a valuable learning experience and empowering our students with essential digital skills.
