DIGITAL SKILLS FOR WOMEN CREATIVES IN MALAWI : MW Govt Department of Arts X DSA

We are excited to announce a transformative initiative by Digital Skills for Africa, in partnership with the Malawi Government’s Department of Arts. This collaboration aims to empower women creatives in Malawi by providing them with essential digital skills, alongside training in gender equality and business development.

About the Partnership

Recognizing the critical role of digital skills in today’s creative industry, Digital Skills for Africa is proud to join forces with the Department of Arts. Together, we will conduct workshops in Blantyre and Lilongwe, ensuring that women across Malawi have access to these valuable resources.

Training Details

The training sessions will be held in person, with the Blantyre session scheduled for March 17-18, 2025, at Larchevio Lodge, and the Lilongwe session on March 20-21, 2025, at Lingadzi Inn. Each session will last for 1 hour and 30 minutes, providing an in-depth exploration of the topics at hand. Participants will also benefit from an allowance to cover accommodation, ensuring they can fully engage in the training without financial strain.

Incorporating E-Learning

In addition to the in-person sessions, we are excited to integrate the workshop content into our e-learning platform, Digital Skills for Africa. This will allow women who cannot attend the workshops in person to access the training materials online, ensuring broader reach and impact.

Looking Forward

We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the Department of Arts and are committed to making this initiative a success. By placing digital skills at the forefront, we aim to empower women creatives to thrive in the modern, tech-driven world and foster a more inclusive and dynamic creative industry in Malawi.
